Stars in Sequoia
August 16th, 2009 by paulgardnerI shot this two nights ago in Sequoia National Park. This is looking up one of the very large pines right over our tent. Specs on the shot are Nikon D3, 24-70mm @24mm, f/5, ISO800 for 10 minutes. The tree is lit by our campfire.

Nice. How is it in color? Which remote do you use and does it have a timer?

The remote is the Nikon MC-36. It is a full on intervelometer. It can do any combination of timed shots or sequence shots. I uploaded the color version. Not as big a fan. The fire light is kind of nasty.
